Beliefs

We Believe the Bible, in the original Old and New Testament, is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and is the final authority in matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We Believe that one true God exists in three co-equal, co-eternal persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and that He is fully God and fully Man. (Luke 1:26-35; 2:1-7; John 1:1-14)

We believe in the deity and personhood of the Holy Spirit. (John 15:26)

We believe the world and all things in it were created by the word and will of God out of nothing. (Genesis 1:1, 27-31)

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred physical death and spiritual death, which is separation from God. All human beings are born with a sin nature and therefore sin in word, thought and deed. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 1, 3:23, 5:12)

We believe that the Lord Jesus died for our sins as our representative and substitute, and that all who trust in Him are justified by grace through faith on the basis of His shed blood. We believe that this salvation was ordained before the foundation of the world and once obtained may not be lost. (John 3:14-16, 5:24; Romans 3:24, 5:8; Ephesians 1:1-14, 2:8-9)

We believe that the Lord Jesus, after His death on the cross and burial, rose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven where He makes intercession for His body, the Church. He is the only Savior through Whom sinful man can find forgiveness, salvation and eternal life. (Acts 4:12; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 1:20-21; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; John 14:6)

We believe that the Church comprises people from all time and nationality who have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone as Savior. The Church expresses itself in local congregations to bring glory to God by carrying out the Great Commission, the commands of Holy Scripture and the ordinances of Baptism and Communion. (Matthew 28:18-20; John 13; Acts 2:41-42; Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:8-9; Matthew 26:26-29; I Corinthians 11:23-30)

We believe that the Lord Jesus will personally and physically return to this world to resurrect and rapture the Church. Following a seven-year period of tribulation He will return to reign in righteousness. His coming again will be literal, personal and visible. (John 14:1-6; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7; Revelation 3:10)

We believe in the literal and physical resurrection of the dead, the redeemed to eternal bliss with God and the unredeemed to eternal separation from God. (Matthew 25:31-46)

We believe in the literal and personal existence of Satan and demonic beings whose defeat and doom are sure. (Job 1:6; Matthew 25:41; Revelation 19:20)
