TBC ONLINE DIRECTORY INSTRUCTIONS

Why an online church directory? Once a year we have produced a paper directory; it’s current when printed, but quickly becomes outdated as information changes. Moreover, it’s expensive with the ever-increasing cost of paper. An online directory has many benefits; here are just a few examples;

• The Directory is available at your fingertips through the mobile app. To find a phone number for someone in the church, simply open the Directory app and search for the family no matter where you are!

• Your Directory profile is yours to maintain. Phone number changed? Moved recently? New baby in the family? Updating your family information is quick and easy!

• Information is up-to-date unlike a once-a-year printed directory!

• Look up birthdays, anniversaries, missionaries and partners we support, as well as church staff.

Getting Started

1. Email Emily Powell at emilyapowell@yahoo.com with DIRECTORY in the subject line.

2. Emily will create an account for you in the Instant Church Directory application (allow 24 to 48 hours).

3. Go to instantchurchdirectory.com to create your password. Your User ID is the same email address you sent to Emily.

4. On your mobile device (iPhone, android, iPad, and tablet), go to the App Store or Play Store, find and download the Instant Church Directory app.

5. For your desktop or laptop computer, type this URL into your browser: https://members.instantchurchdirectory.com

6. Save this URL in your browser’s favorites and name it ‘Church Directory’

Updating Your Profile

1. Open the Directory app (mobile device) or your Church Directory favorite (computer or laptop).

2. Select Families and search for your last name.

3. Click on your profile name.

4. Fill in the blanks with all names and contact information (address is optional).

5. Upload a family picture (optional).

6. Click the Submit button.

7. The Office will review your information and approve your submission. Once approved, you’ll be able to edit your profile when needed.

Looking Up Contact Information

1. Open the Directory app or your Church Directory favorite.

2. Select Families and search for a name.

3. Click on their profile name.

4. View their contact information phone number(s) and email address(es) as well as birthdays and anniversary.
