Thanks for checking us out!

When going somewhere new, it is only natural to have some questions. Below we hope you will find a few answers to questions you might have prior to visiting us.

What Happens During a Service?

  • Preaching

We believe in the inspired, authoritative and inerrant Word of God. We practice expositional preaching, which systematically works through the Scriptures, seeking to draw out the truths God has given us in His Word. We typically move between the Old and New Testament. Sermons last approximately 45 minutes.

  • Music

Through songs we praise God and respond to His Word. We sing a blend of lyrically rich historical and modern songs. Through song we are able to express our joy and hope in the Gospel, mutually encouraging each other through congregational singing.

  • Communion

We take time to remember the work of Jesus at the cross weekly through communion.  Communion is also a time we look forward to the return of Jesus.

  • Offering

We love giving back to God what He has given us and allow a time for people to do so at the end of each service. If you're a guest, please don't feel in any way obligated to give money - just put in a Connection Card instead.

What time does service start?

Our services begin at 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Please come a few minutes early to grab some coffee in our Fellowship Room and meet those in our church family. We would love to get to know you!

Where Do I Park?

When you pull into our parking lot, follow the drive around to the back and find a free spot. You can enter through the main entrance, located near the front of the building, or the back door near the playground. The main entrance is covered and provides easy access for wheelchairs and walkers.

What should I wear?

Some people dress up and some dress very casually.  Dress how you're comfortable.

What About the Kids?

All children nursery age - 5th grade, should be checked in by their parents prior to the start of service. Look for the “Kids Check-In” sign, where you will be greeted and assisted by one of our fabulous Children’s Volunteers. Your child will receive a name tag, and the guardian will receive a corresponding tag that will be used at pick-up to release the child back into your care.

We have a nursery for ages birth through preschool. Children will be cared for, given a snack, hear about our great God, and have fun! You child may enter the nursery beginning at 10:20am and be picked up once the service is done.

Children ages Pre-Kindergarten-5th grade will remain with their parents through the end of worship through song. Once the worship portion of the service has concluded, these children will be led downstairs by their teachers for a lesson that helps them better understand who God is.

Kids in the Service

Please feel free to keep your children in the service with you if you would prefer. In fact, the last Sunday of each month we have Family Sunday where all of the 1st - 5th grade students stay in the sanctuary for the entire service.

family room

Our entire worship service is livestreamed in our Family Room during both services. It’s a welcoming space where you can bring your child at any time—whether you need a quiet spot to nurse, a comfortable place to settle little ones, or an area for diaper changes.

Buddy Ministry

Is your child wiggly, has difficulty paying attention while sitting, often daydreams, has difficulty with writing or coloring or cutting things, or would like a Buddy to assist them? Our Buddy Ministry will pair your child up with a trained and background-checked Buddy who will assist your child in being successful in Children’s Church. We at Timberline Baptist Church want all people to learn and grow in their relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. We want to help those who need additional support.

Childcare Staff

Each week two volunteers will watch your child. All workers have gone through a state and national background check as well as training by church leadership.
